Short Term Residential Treatment Program
Pathways to progress is a Short Term Residential Therapeutic Program (STRTP) offered by RISE Family Support Services designed to provide compassionate care for foster youth and youth involved in the juvenile justice system. Our program offers a safe structured environment where youth can heal, grow, and thrive. We focus on individualized therapeutic interventions, holistic support, and the development of life skills that prepare youth for their next steps. Our mission is to empower youth by fostering resilience, promoting emotional well-being and creating a pathway to long-term stability and success.

Caring for Curls — Foster Youth Hair Care Initiative
Caring for Curls—Foster Youth Hair Care Initiative, designed to educate foster families on the care of natural hair care (textured hair) for foster youth & connect them with professional stylists. Our program provides families with essential knowledge, tools, and resources to properly care for and maintain the natural beauty of curls, coils, and kinks. In addition, we connect families to professional stylists experienced in natural hair care, ensuring that foster youth feel confident, embraced, and cared for in their identity. We support the mental and emotional well-being of foster youth, recognizing the powerful connection between hair care and overall mental health.

We provide education and support to help families navigate the unique challenges they may face. Our programs equip families with the tools and knowledge needed to care for youth, including understanding cultural competency and addressing identity and emotional needs. In addition, we offer specialized assistance for foster families, guiding them through the complexities of foster care and connecting them with essential resources such as therapists and local stylists to support their children holistically.
Mental Health & Therapeutic Support
RISE Family Support Services offers access to therapists who specialize in trauma-informed care. We provide individual and group therapy for families and youth, addressing emotional challenges and supporting mental health as part of our overall approach to well-being.
